They were also handing out buttons with numbers on them. Each button had a twin with the same number on it. If you found the person wearing your twin button then you both got to split $1000. This display case in the lobby of Chicago's McCormick Place shows some of the products still made here. The ones formerly made here would fill two exhibition halls. In the west building. The sites of their former factories are condos, office buildings, vacant brownfields and, in one case, Chicago's first Wal-Mart. A cold, hard fact the labor unions need to consider very carefully.
Sun setting on the harbor
San Diego, a very nice city. The harbor is filled with actual retired battleships now converted into museums, ferry boat rides and tours, nice restaurants, and a great place just to walk around.
